Building Services Case Study

Total Connections was approached by a major building services and construction company, that was involved in the infrastructure reconstruction programme in Iraq. The contract involved the design and manufacture of earthing equipment required for multiple power stations.

The initial commission was for 500 twin pole earth bars (alternatively known as parallel earth bars), designed to be used with 2 hole crimp lugs. Each earth bar was tin-plated on a stainless steel top hat base. They ranged from 6 way (12 studs) up to 24 way (48 studs) and were manufactured from 60x6 copper bar (CW004A).

The project also required the manufacture of 60x6 copper earth pit bars. The success of the project has led to recurring orders and the development of an ongoing working relationship with a major player in the construction market.
