This includes designing and manufacturing electrical terminations and earthing equipment for commercial airliners, military aircraft, satellite technology and general aviation, including airport support infrastructure.
The aerospace sector is characterised by its requirements for high quality and exacting specifications, often working to the tightest of tolerances. Total Connections has been involved in supplying a wide range of electrical components for world-leading aerospace companies. Whilst some of these components have been standard products, many more have been bespoke electrical terminals and custom-built earthing products. Our products have included specialist earthing connectors for fuel lines all the way through to runway/apron earthing points for military aircraft.
Aerospace Case Study
Airbus required a terminal for earthing fuel pipes on new commercial aircraft - in particular, the state-of-the-art A350 aircraft. Adhering to the brief supplied by the Airbus design team, Total Connections designed and manufactured a bespoke twin-entry sheet terminal.
We were able to make recommendations to ensure that the product functioned according to the specified needs. This included incorporating sufficient bracing to support the terminal, as well as making recommendations as to the type of plating used on the terminal. Total Connections have now manufactured over 100,000 of these terminals.
